Terms of Use
Last Updated: August 1, 2026
Welcome to The Gut & Microbiome Center for Excellence LLC (“GMCE,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of our website and related online services (collectively, the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. About GMCE
GMCE is a medical practice founded by Will Bulsiewicz, MD, MSCI, a board-certified gastroenterologist. GMCE providers are licensed in the states identified in the patient consent documents, and the current list is confirmed with you at the time of scheduling. GMCE focuses on digestive health, nutrition, lifestyle medicine, and related wellness topics.
This Site provides educational and informational content regarding gut health, the gut microbiome, nutrition, and wellness. The information available through this Site is intended to support general health education and should not be considered individualized medical advice.
2. Site Is Not Medical Advice
The content available on this Site is provided solely for educational and informational purposes and is not intended to constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. No medical services are provided through this Site. Viewing content on the Site, submitting inquiries, subscribing to communications, or interacting with Site features does not create a physician-patient relationship.
Individualized medical advice and treatment are provided only through a formal telehealth consultation with a licensed GMCE provider. Any physician-patient relationship arises only after a patient schedules and completes a telehealth appointment and all required intake and consent documentation. Clinical services are available only to individuals who are physically located in a state where the treating provider is licensed at the time services are rendered. The states in which our providers are licensed are set out in the patient consent documents and confirmed at scheduling.
GMCE may offer a consultation, rather than treatment, to individuals located outside the United States. Any such consultation is governed by a separate International Consultation Addendum, is limited to a second opinion for the individual and their treating physicians, and does not include prescribing, ordering, or the assumption of treating responsibility.
3. Telehealth Services
If you become a patient, telehealth services will be delivered through a third-party electronic health record and telehealth platform designated by GMCE.
You may be required to complete additional consents, disclosures, and practice policies before receiving services. Separate patient agreements and consents govern the delivery of clinical services and will control in the event of any conflict with these Terms.
4. Cash-Pay Practice
GMCE is a self-pay practice and does not bill insurance. Patients are responsible for all fees associated with services provided. Fees, cancellation and rescheduling policies, and payment terms applicable to patients are disclosed during the scheduling and intake process and are set out in the patient consent documents. Because GMCE does not bill insurance, patients are entitled to a written Good Faith Estimate of expected charges before a visit is scheduled.
5. Eligibility
You must be at least eighteen (18) years old to use this Site. GMCE is an adult practice and does not accept or treat patients under the age of eighteen (18). By using the Site, you represent that all information you provide is accurate and complete.
